Things you should know before visiting Ross island from Port Blair
- There is an entry fee of Rs 50 for individuals (above the age of nine) and Rs 25 for minors to enter the Island.
- The ticketing desk (at Port Blair) is open from 09.00 to 3.00 p.m. The boat leaves for Ross island in the morning.
- At 5.30 p.m, the lighting and sound spectacular begins at Ross island. Tickets must be purchased three days in advance, and picture IDs must be presented at the point of sale.
- There is no lodging on the Island; therefore, staying overnight is not feasible.
- Ross Island from Port Blair Ferry timings- The ferry leaves at 8.30 from port Blair. It is a short ride of barely 15-20 mins, and the light show at Ross island begins at 5.30, so the returning time from the Island is after the show ends, in the evening to be accurate.
